for example if SLR camera is 10 MP and regular digital camera is 10 MP, what would be the difference, if you take a same snap with both camera?????? and what are the other difference? which one is better.
I am looking for a camera around the $200-300 range that takes quality pictures. I have a Canon Powershot A590 and it’s not taking the pictures I was hoping for. I am looking for something that takes clean and clear pictures with light settings. I hate cameras that take orange tinted pictures in the dark. I need something with nice settings. I would love an SLR, but don’t have $500 for one.

I’m interested in getting a digital SLR camera purely for shooting video and wondered if anyone knows of any particular models up to about £800 (about $1300) that fulfills the following requirements:
Full HD at 1920×1080
A file format that would be compatible with Avid editing software (so NOT AVC HD)
Either 25fps or 24fps but not 30fps
Also if any body has any experience of using these cameras, I would be interested to hear what people think of the audio quality.
Any help with this will be much appreciated.

My TV service is comcast digital cable. I have the digital cable box supplied by comcast. The cable from my wall is connected to that box. That box is connected to my old VCR. The old VCR is connected to my TV.
How would it be set up if I had a DIGITAL TV? Would I still need the digital cable box supplied by comcast or would I be able to hook up right from the wall to the digital TV? When I got comcast digital cable. nobody asked me what kind of TV I had.

I have a work van with ladders on top. I want to add more security to the alarm I already have. Currently the shock sensor of my viper alarm does not go off when i move my van around as if I am trying to take the ladders off the top. I was wondering if the tilt sensor mentioned above would set the alarm off in the case of attempted theft of my ladders on top.
