ive seen digital cameras for $ 99 and $999. i dont know much about technical specifications but the cheap ones and the expensive ones are both 12 megapixels, 5 x zoom, etc. so why is there such a big difference in price? should i just get the $ 99 one? im not good with electronics (i either lose them or break them).
p.s are these good cameras?
samsung ES15B
sony cybershot DSCS930
olympus FE-26

So I want to get a camera that takes really amazing pictures without a huge cost. Just a few questions before I decide to get one…
1) Does this camera come with its own battery, or do I have to buy AA batteries or its own rechargeable battery? And does it come with a charger?
2) Does this camera come with its own memory card, or do I have to purchase that? And how much memory does it have?
3) What is the overall quality of the photos?
4) Any negatives?
5) Cheapest place to buy a new one?
6) Overall review?
Thank you so much
This is going to help me A LOT.

I want a great camera that is digital but that will take really good motion shots… especially of horses. All digital cameras that I have tried are blurry when I take pics of running horses…
But I also need a camera that had good videotaping capabilities and uses a SD card, thanks so much in advance!
But INEXPENSIVE is REALLY important! It has to be under $200 ish

I’m looking for a digital camera in the range of $200-300, it will mainly be used for simple point and shoot photos. I find that my old camera had bad shots when not using the flash, and hated low light conditions and was rather slow. So i realised technology has improved since my camera so I was looking for some suggestions. I am willing to go a bit over the budget if there is a particularly good camera that’s a bit more. I would prefer not to buy it online and in Australia.
Thanks

Not removing the batteries but opening the door so that the contacts don’t touch the battery contacts.
My brother in law always get mad at me and my wife for leaving the battery door closed because "it wastes more battery faster." I asked him if the camera was on and he said no I told him that it doesn’t matter because the camera isn’t using power, or enough power, to drain the batteries in a day… But he’s persistent. So either I’m wrong or he is…
The camera is a 3 year old Samsung S860 8.1MP with a 512 MB chip using Energizer Rechargeable 2000mAh
In my hands, fully charged batteries lasts me 3 days taking about 100 pics in that time. In his hand he said it lasts him a week or more but I’ve seen him changing the batteries…
What do you think?

I don’t want a DVR or interactivity. I just want the minimum to not have to rent from them.
