Hi guys. I broke the lens on my Panasonic Lumix by accident a few months ago and I’m super super fortunate enough to have someone who’s willing to buy me a new camera for Christmas. I have to pick which one though I want out of the thousands of options, and all the research I’ve been doing has kinda confused me. I was wondering if someone could help me?
I came up with a list of things I’d like in a camera:
•Viewfinder in addition to the lcd
•Optical stabilizer
•Ability to shoot video, with zoom and audio capabilities
•Not huge nor more than $400
•Red-eye reduction would be nice
•I want it to be nice enough that I can use it for publicity for my news & economics blog and for facebook.
•Features would be really nice. I’d like to get into amateur photography
•I want it to last me a few years, durable. Doesn’t need to be waterproof.
•I want to use creative effects when shooting and manipulating images.
•Not too difficult to use.
•I want to be able to take close-ups of nature stuff and long-distance, scenery pictures
I fit CNET’s description of a "snapshooter" best.
"I want to take photos that I can e-mail to friends and family, post on the Web, or print in sizes smaller than 8×10 inches. I’d like a digital camera that is easy enough for the whole family to use and small enough to take anywhere. I’ll be printing on an inexpensive, all-purpose inkjet printer or getting photo prints from the local drugstore…"
I heard sony, nikon, and canon are the best.
and if it’s at all possible, i’d like one that comes in a color besides silver since so many people have a silver camera and id like something distinct so theres less confusion.
thank you so much. i really appreciate it.

I am looking to purchase a high-quality digital point and shoot camera that is between $100-$150. I was going to get a Nikon Coolpix, but I read some reviews that said it didn’t take good pictures. Any other brands or specific cameras? Help!!!!!!!!!!

I just purchased the Winait DC500F camera from eBay and now I am nervous that I got swindled. Can anyone tell me about the quality of this camera? Any reviews? Also, does anyone know anything about Winait digital cameras in general? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
