Choosing a digital camera - What do AVI - 848 x 480 - 30 fps ¦ AVI - 640 x 480 - 30 fps etc mean?

In its specifications it is said : Video Capture: AVI - 848 x 480 - 30 fps ¦ AVI - 640 x 480 - 30 fps ¦ AVI - 320 x 240 - 30 fps ¦ AVI - 160 x 120 - 30 fps (from http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-DC-C640-Digital-supported/dp/tech-data/B000OZ50ME/ref=de_a_smtd)
And to be honest the videos aren’t that good. So what does all that really mean?
Would a camera with "640 x 480 pixels, 320 x 240 pixels (30 frames/sec.) with monaural sound" be better, the same or worse for recording videos?

AVI is a video format…the ###x### is the resolution of the video….resolution and quality are two totally different things to…you could have a super high resolution but still have a crappy quality video. and fsp is Frames per Second…which basically is standard these days.

You have a teeny tiny still camera, you really can NOT expect much from it, let alone expect it to do good video, as well!
If video is important to you, you need to buy a camcorder.
Even the cheaper camcorders will do a much better job of videos than a rather good still camera could.
