My digital DVD recorder has 4 speeds, xp, sp, lp, ep. How many hours on lp? ep?

Okay there is nothing in the manual, it only mentions quality not quantity. I also know that 6 hours is the maximum for a standard single sided single layered DVD. Thankyou very much.

    Read the manual - There is no standard. Probably around 6 hrs is the max you can get any decent quality.

    EP=11 HOURS
    LP=7 HOURS
    SP=3 HOURS
    XP=2 HOURS

    I have 2 DVD recorders. In one, the times correspond to 1, 2 4 and 6 hours. In the other recorder, EP can be selected to be either 6 hours or 8 hours, so it goes with 1, 2, 4 and 6 or 8 hours. The shorter the recording time, the higher the quality.
