Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I don’t think there is anything more beautiful than a very fine grade walnut stock like the one on my Ruger Red Label, but for hard use, black plastic works. My Benelli tactical shotgun, SOCOM 16, and AR’s all have black plastic (polymer, whatever the stuff is), because they are for function. The Red Label is my fair weather shooter for trap and skeet and sporting clays. You gotta look good on the trap field, no?
i would say whatever blends best with your intended enviroment. A black gun stands out like a sore thumb in a desert for example. Look for colors that blend where you will be.
I like the look of a stainless action/barrel with black furniture. For handguns, Springfield has some XD models in a stainless slide with tan frame that I like a lot.
Aw, this was a really interesting post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a interesting article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get it complete….

I like black guns the best. That is what most of my gans are, black stock with all black accessories. I also like the look of a desert tan web design.
