does anyone know how to use digital prop images in gimp?
Posted on Feb 26, 2010 under Digital news and reports |i can do regular digital back drops, but i cant do the ones where you take a pic of a baby and a pic of the digital prop and put the baby in the bucket, or i got some more prop pics and all it is you use the face.

If I understand your question correctly, then the prop is simply another layer.
Background layer, above that the bucket, above that the baby (or swap those two……whichever works better for you).
Selectively delete parts of the baby (i.e. body) so you can see the bucket.
Use the transform tool and the move tool to make things be the right size and line up properly.
Be prepared to play around with layer styles (especially drop shadow) to make it look right.

It is rare for me to find something on the cyberspace that’s as entertaining and intriguing as what you’ve got here. Your page is sweet, your graphics are outstanding, and what’s more, you use reference that are relevant to what you’re saying. You’re certainly one in a million, man!
