How to turn the flash light on my digital camera?

I had a good look at the the instructions manual but I could not find any reference on turning the flashlight off.
My camera is;
FUJIFILM A170 , 10.2 Mega Pixels.

Run threw all the "menu" items. It may be the second or even the third click on a particular item.

Find the button with the lighting-bolt on or near it. Press it until you see a lighting-bolt beneath a circle with a line through it on your cameras LCD.
There are probably four options. Auto, always on (which it seems yours is set), redeye reduction and always off

I just downloaded the manual for your camera because I was CERTAIN I’d find the information in it.
Sure enough, there it is on page 22 ! http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/a/fujifilm_a170/pdf/index/fujifilm_a170_manual_01.pdf
However, before you go turning it off (which is actually often a VERY good idea), do yourself the favour to google the term "fill flash". There are times where you DO want a flash on even though you have lots of light.
