What’s the best digital camera to buy?

Posted on Mar 06, 2010 under Digital news and reports |

I currently have a Sony Cybershot DSC-T7 and I don’t like it because it gives blurry photo when I take pictures of moving objects and even when the camera moves a bit. I want to buy a new digital camera that takes great pictures without the blurs. I don’t want a Digital SLR camera, just a compact one. I was thinking of buying the Nikon S8000, which is not out yet so I’m not sure if that’s good. I don’t even know what brand to choose or what to look for in a digital camera. Any camera experts, please help.
Just want to thank you people for giving advice except for mister-damus here that is adding blame instead of being courteous and giving a positive feedback. If any of you find mister-damus being a mean person, please show support and report his comment. Thanks!

    Canon is best

I tried Nikon and was so frustrated with it I wouldn’t even sell it, I just gave it away before I would just throw it away

Canon works miracles with its ultra fast processors

  2. My non-dslr camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. It has a great zoom range, a Leica lens, and excellent in camera image stabilization. I highly recommend it.

First, there is no such thing as "the best". There are many good brands and models.

Second, it’s not the camera’s fault that the photos come out blurry - it’s your fault for trying to take pictures of moving objects without a fast enough shutter speed, and it’s your fault for moving the camera instead of holding it still (even the most expensive camera will give you blurry photos if you don’t hold it steady).

You can spend hundreds of dollars on a new camera but you will still have the same problems. What you should do is read your camera manual and get a book on basic photography skills (this will be more important than getting a new camera). You need to know the limitations of your Cybershot and work with them/around them.

I have an old Sony Cybershot from 10 years ago (only 3 megapixels) and it takes wonderful photos. You know why? Because I know how to use it. My family members who have newer cameras (8 megapixels or more) don’t understand why my pictures come out better than theirs. Go figure.

If you still feel like buying a new one, Canon, Sony, Pentax, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic all make good cameras. Read the customer reviews and pick one you think will work for you.
