Does any other digital camera have a "beauty shot" setting or is it just Samsung?
Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Digital news and reports |I am SUPER in love with the setting but that’s pretty much the only good thing about the brand. Are there any other cameras that are comparable? I want very good quality pictures of my husband and I before he deploys.

"beauty shot" sounds like a marketing term. most modern digital cameras have a portrait setting in which the skin tones are optimally exposed and color-balanced for a natural look, no matter what color the ambient light is.
most important for good shots is the light. find a place with plenty of even natural light. (outside not in direct sun, or a well-lit room) flash on small point-and-shoot cameras is a compromise and seldome flattering.

Samsung has a beauty shot? Wow! No. I haven’t seen something like that yet on any other camera.
I searched and found this. http://www.samsungcamera.co.uk/feature/beauty_shot.html It can be done with any camera and a computer. It can be done better with just the right lens and a dSLR.
