What’s the difference between a Digital Recorder and a Digital Music Recorder?
Posted on Mar 09, 2010 under Digital news and reports |My dad is thinking of getting a handheld Digital Recorder and there’s one that’s an original digital recorder and there’s one that records music.

The original one is probably just set up for voice, which can be mono, and significanly less bandwith/capacity needed than to properly record music.

A digital music recorder is a digital recorder.
A digital video recorder is also a digital recorder.
Like all horses are animals, but not all animals are horses.
All digital music recorders are digital recorders, but not all digital recorders record music or record music well.
That said, it’s likely a recorder advertised as a music recorder may have a better sound quality, and may be a sterio recorder.
You wouldn’t need a a high quality recorder for recording speech, but music recorded on that same product may sound awful. (that’s MAY, not WILL)
