When I import my video to my computer from my digital camera why it is only in mp4 format?
Posted on Mar 09, 2010 under Digital news and reports |Ok I am trying to make videos to put on youtube and I got a new camera I have a sony cybershot dsc-t90 and I love the camera but the only issue that I have is that when I take video with the camera and try to import it to my windows movie maker to edit it for youtube it is only in mp4 format and you can only hear that sound and see no video? Why is that and what can I do to fix this so I can get my videos on youtube:):)

YouTube supports flv format, so you may need a video converter to convert your mp4 video to flv format for YouTube. Now I find a converter here http://www.useesoft.com/video-converters/video-to-youtube-converter.html

So, you can import the video to your movie maker. I think your computer lack of some nessery codec. You can download the latest QuickTime hope will help.
By the way, if you want to upload to youtube, I suggest you to edit the video with this video converter (http://www.my-video-converter.com/video_converter/) and convert the video to FLV (youtube video) directly.
