Are there any labs in the US that make Cibachromes directly from digital image files?
Posted on Mar 11, 2010 under Digital news and reports |I forgot what the paper is called today. Ilfochrome I think.
.
I found a lab in London that makes Cibachromes (Ilfochromes) from digital files but nothing in the USA so far.

Cibachrome is direct printing from SLIDES only. It was called direct printing since no negative or inter negative was used. You would need your image on any type( E6 ) slide film then the image would need to be printed on CIBA type paper and processed in CIBA chemistry which was really smelly and caustic stuff. The final image was downright beautiful however the process to my knowledge is no longer being offered by anyone. From digital files there is metalic printing and Ilford offers something they call Ilfocolor, check with them to see what labs offer that process.
