Girls: What are some good quality digital cameras at walmart or target?

look for a camera with at least 7 megapixels (no more is necessary, unless you are planning on printing poster-sized photos.) you’ll also want optical zoom-NOT digital zoom alone. The best brands of cameras are Canon and Nikon, I do not reccomend Kodak. Good luck!

it really depends what you are looking for. what is your price range? i always shoot for canon i do have a kodak which i loved but soon as i got my canon i realized a big difference. if you want video try something hp740 quality those are the new ones on the market most camera’s are now offering this.
batterys look up how much it is for a replacement battery you will want a rechargable one because digital camera’s eat up the batterys and if you get rechargable you can recharge the batterys as many times as it lets u. my canon takes 4AA batterys i have bought a second pack to carry around for when they die out i can always replace them right away and bought the charger for around 20 bucks. so check what type of battery it uses.
10 optical zoom should be fine if your not into scenery images 20 is better. just depends on what your using it for again.
anything above 5 megapixels should be enough unless you want to be a professional lol. than anything higher is great.
you will also want an sd card. so check into how much memory your camera has alone w/out a card and how much a card will be. usually its about 10 and up.
walmart usually has the lowest price on camera’s. they have canon sd780 is which i was looking at before i got my canon powershot sx20is i love mine but it is very expensive.
if your looking for something cheaper. try looking at youtube.com for test on cameras and also try flickr.com and photoshop.com and search for the camera you are looking at by going to walmart.com or whatever store you want to buy search the cameras then search for pictures on picture sights and view the qualities or view reviews on the camera u want on youtube thats what i did before getting my camera.
but again like the girl before me said canon and nikon will be ur best bet and they have good prices from 30 bucks on up for a good camera. good luck
