Digital Pocket Scale that doubles it’s weight?

I bought a used scale for a cheap price after buying some generic scale at target; and when I weight out a dollar bill which is supposed to be about 1gram, it weights out to about 2g.
Is there anyway that I can fix this issue before buying a new one?
I found out that it was doubling its weight by weighing three dollar bills on the target scale which was 1g each. then the pocket scale which was (2.2g)

Which Canon Powershot digital camera is most reasonable?

My sister has a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital Elph and I LOVE it! But I’ve seen it for $160 and I’ve seen a couple other Canon Powershots that are less expensive. This is just for taking pictures of the family, we have a 1 yr old son, so we like to take lots of pictures. I’m looking for answers from people with personal experience, not just going off of reviews, cause I have been doing that. Thanks
