Penetration Testing vs Digital Forensics?
Posted on Jun 22, 2010 under Digital news and reports |I’m currently choosing between 2 courses to do at university but I can’t decide. I’ve always been keen on doing something in IT and I’ve narrowed it down to courses on:
Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures
&
Digital Forensics.
The hacking course will give me the education to become basically a tester of computer systems testing the security of a companies computer networks.
The forensics course will give me the education to work sometimes with the police to gather evidence from computers against someone.
I’ve done my research and both seem interesting but I still can’t decide.
What I’m asking is, what course/career would you guys pick and why?
I’m particularly interested in:
What seems most interesting?
The salary difference?
Any particular benefits between the two?
