What kind of digital camera should I buy?

And I am a layman of photography. Could anyone can give me some suggestions what kind of digital camera should I buy? More details is better.(type, price, advantages)

What is your budget and what sort of products are you talking about? Where are you intending to sell them?
To begin with a 10mp digital compact will be a good starting point ($100/£60) and if you are simply selling stuff on ebay that is probably all you will ever need.
The images themselves need to be compressed to appear on most web pages anyway so there is simply no point in using the highest resolution imaginable to take pictures with.
I would suggest the Canon model reviewed in the link below or something similar to begin with. Prices have come enormously as the technology has improved, this would have cost several times this amount just a few years ago.

I’m a big fan of the Canon powershot series…great price, easy to use, point and shoot with good resolutions. They start about $150 and up. Good luck.
