can my digital camera be fixed?
Posted on Jul 02, 2010 under Digital news and reports |i have a Panasonic lumix DMC-LZ8 camera. yesterday it got damaged and i dunno how… but i think the lense is broken, the screen is blank and the lense dosent go all the way in and i can hear a rattling… i think it has to be the lense cause the screen works when i try to view images… is this repairable?

You may be able to have it fixed, or replaced by Panasonic, if it’s still under warranty. I’ve had great experiences with Panasonic’s repair center. Somehow, the LCD on my Lumix ZS3 cracked, so I sent it in, and a week later, they sent me a brand-new one. Go to Panasonic’s website and get info on the repairs. You will need to send the camera to texas, and include a letter telling them what the problem was. Make it look like it just happened on it’s own, e.g. "I turned off my camera the one day, and after letting it sit, I turned it back on, and the lens started to malfunction."
