faint line on dip style pregnancy test neg digital EPT?
Posted on Jul 02, 2010 under Digital news and reports |Ok here is the deal I bought some early dip style pregnancy tests .. and took one this morning I got a very barely there test line.. later on I took a EPT digital test and it came up not pregnant.. has anyone else had this happen if so what was the out come.. were you pregnant or not pregnant?

I was readint this and I forgot to tell you hehe.. ok when I took the dip test I got a very clear control line the test line its self was really faint but everyone could see it….
I did make a OB appt for Tuesday 
I just wanted to hear what you girls had to say and what the outome was

I swear these digital ones are worthless early on. This is the third or fourth question I’ve seen like this– and it happened to me, too!
I had a very faint line show on a dip-style test, and then tested negative on a digital. However, three weeks later I used the second digital from the box and it came up positive. I now have a 14 month old daughter.
Basically, ANY line is a positive read. Those lines don’t appear when any liquid hits them, they only appear when the pregnancy hormone hits them. Congrats!

why dont you try going to your womans doctor and getting a pregnancy test. a blood pregnancy test.
they are the most accurate.

I’ve had several faint positives on sticks when I took the tests before I was even late on my period and was pregnant. It was very faint like you had to see it in the right light with my 3rd son but I wasn’t supposed to start my period for about 3 or 4 more days. The line got darker as the days went on. I recommend going to the dollar store and picking up some pregnancy tests, they are a cheap way to check for a few days.
There is also something called an evaporation line when the urine dries on the test strip but that isn’t very common and looks a little different than a positive test. I’ve never taken an EPT digital test.

You made a common mistake by taking 2 tests back to back in the same day -
You should have waited until the next morning to take the 2nd one as you didn’t give your urine enough time to "build" the HcG hormone back up
Re-test tomorrow using FMU
And stay away from the digitals - they’re crap if you ask me

Any faint line is positive for pregnancy. Always use first morning urine. This is especially important if you are testing very early in pregnancy when hormones aren’t as high.

I’m gonna say your pregnant, a faint positive is still a positive…I had to faint positives and I am 30wks pregnant now.
Re-test in in the morning, using your first morning urine.
