What is the proper photo size when printing a diptych or triptych digital image?
Posted on Jul 14, 2010 under Digital news and reports |I created random triptychs and diptychs with random sizes. Some 600×300px, 600×675px, 900×300px, and 900×200px. I’m looking to print these photos at Costco. What is the proper size for this triptychs & diptychs? Should they be 4×6 or 8×10, or some other size? I want to create an album of photos with these photos. Will the photos fill the photography size or will there be empty space above and below some of the pictures? Thanks

Why don’t you check the Costco website to see which print sizes they offer? Then you’ll know what size would make the most sense.

It’s not just size, it’s resolution.
Quality prints need to be created at 200 pixels per inch.
And 800×600 px image will only print out to 4" x 3" so you need to to create larger if you want to print anything of quality…
Images not fitting "standard" printing sizes will have "blank" areas, which will need to be trimmed off.
But you decide what size you want to create, and then adjust the prints to fit, if you do not want to follow "standard" sizes.
