What causes the loss of digital TV channels?
Posted on Dec 25, 2011 under Digital news and reports |I lost a lot of channels for no apparent reasons. I have retuned umteen times and they still haven’t returned. I have tried unplugging the TV, retuning, then plugging-in the TV and retuning again, to no avail. Help please.

Your ariel probably isn’t very good. You could try buying a signal booster or get a new ariel.

1.have you renewed amp batteries in fused plug?
2.is the cables shoved in at the back correctly?
3.are you on the correct extension in the av button?
4.have you paid the bill for broadband or satalitte viewing?
5.do you think your being hacked lately by pirates?

call tv office and ask them digital is broadcasted on VHF or UHF also the location of tower.
buy a proper antenna and install it in the LINE OF SIGHT of tower……..if there is a building in the path risen its height or relocate it.

There could be a variety of answers, depending on where you are and what type of service you have (over-the-air, cable, satellite, etc.).
For example, if you are in the U.S. with basic cable service (no box), cable companies are rapidly migrating their cable-only channels to their digital subscriptions packages for which you need a box.
Edit your question with your location (at least your country) and a description of exactly how you get TV reception for a better answer. If you have cable service in the U.S., which company?
