Best digital cameras? (For low prices :P )?

I’m doing my senior project on photography- and the digital I have now is honestly very dull.

Can I disconect and/or remove the power to Western Digital’s my book and still expect it to hold data?

Where can I find simple practical instructions on how to use a Western Digital’s "My book"? Is it simply a hard drive that needs to be connected to the computer and the power all the time?

I was under the impression it would make a copy of everything in a hard drive and then you could disconect "My book" from the computer.

Does the device record the files automaticly, or do I need to do something to make it work?

Does any other digital camera have a "beauty shot" setting or is it just Samsung?

I am SUPER in love with the setting but that’s pretty much the only good thing about the brand. Are there any other cameras that are comparable? I want very good quality pictures of my husband and I before he deploys.

Digital cable help? ex; CHANNEL 108-1,2,3,4?

just bought a new tv. a 26′ sanyo. there is an input for digital cable. i just plugged in my normal cable…. there are channels such as 106-1 106-2 107-1 108-1 etc. sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. sometimes movies pop on like starz on demand. sometimes its porn. any idea whats going on?
that makes sense of the sub channels, thank you. is there any tv guide i can check to see whats on them? and i really dont have on demand…yet for example, a porn was on. and when there was no "action" it was fast forwarded (by itself) until the next sex scene. m i picking up someone elses stuff?

i took a digital test and it said negative but when i took the stick out it had two lines in it.one dark and one faint. can i take this as a positive? i read up on how these test have not been proven to read LH and that if there are two lines its positive, it also said that if u are not pregnant it should only have one line?
