I have regular digital cable. There is a button on channel that says record to VCR. When I hit this I record it for a few minutes then see if it recorded it, but nothing was recorded.
My question is does anyone know how to record something so you don’t have to be home to press the record button on the VCR?
I ask this because I have to work and I want to tape Ellen in the morning.
For the first person who helps me I will give them the best answer. Even if the answer is repeated.

My brother and I are mountain climbers. We are looking at climbing one next year that reaches temperatures of around -40.
Will the standard camera work in those conditions. My camera is a new Casino Exilim. It would be kept in a thick/warm case and only removed briefly to take a picture.
Would my camera work? Could you recommend a digital camera that would be ideal.

I turned my camera on the other day after not using it in a couple weeks, and the LSD screen seems to be broken. I can still take pictures, and download them to my computer, I just can’t see them on my camera. Does anyone know of any way to fix the screen? Or am I just going to have to buy a new camera?

Does anyone else have this HD? It makes some type of “moo” sound.
Any ideas how to fix that or recommendations on a better HD?

Short- Statement
I have repeatedly reported to the managers at the Office Depot warehouse of continual harassment by fellow coworkers. They have done nothing to correct these issues and my reports of these incidents of aggression started 3 months ago. (Aug 26 2008) Recently, a female co-worker clenched my shirt in a threatening manner as a manager stood by and did nothing. When I sat with the manager to report this, he first claimed he saw nothing. He then continued to change the story multiple times and admitted he saw the woman grab my shirt. During the talk, I had a voice recorder hidden to record the conversation. Towards the end of the meeting, the manager asked if I was on drugs. He refuses to have the human resource department investigate the incident and I quit my job because they did not give any disciplinary actions to those that have harassed me. I did not feel safe at work and the management staff ignored my reports. So far, I’m stressing about this and confused about this problem. I am feeling very stressful and need help. I am looking for a lawyer and I am now unemployed. I am a full time student who lost a job because HR only gave me two options: change department because of the emotional problem with the company or voluntary quit.
My problem with Office Depot
(For this case I went to the office 2 times, the second time I was there for 1.3 hours; however, the senior manager never came to the office) Aug 27 and 28 2008)
- Discrimination: Against my religion, race, nationality, gender stereotyping, unfair treatment against youth and the assumption on drug usage. I was in the office with the managers and also the co-worker who had grabbed me. The manager treats me like I’m not important and also repeatedly asks the same questions when I have already gave him a full answer. One of the workers (Zone 25) told me that I’m going to hell because of my religion. (Witnesses; Jose, Bryan, Marietta)
- Physical Assault: Held me by my shirt with force. My manager saw the person who grab me by my shirt. (Proof)
- Sexual Harassment: I was wearing a tight T-shirt when the lady grabbed me. I believe my muscles were the reason why she pulled my shirt and it didn’t feel right.
- Nepotism: The person who physical assaulted me with force is relative to one of the manager.
- Emotional Distress: Sometimes I have nightmares at night about the problems, which affected me on my finals for school, and family relationship. I’m using my time to think if I were wrong because I had not seen my problem get solved. Last but not lease, going through this situation, I feel different about the work-field and also my environment towards any companies.
- Verbal Abuse: The manager asked if I was on drugs and then became angry when I gave him an answer to talk to HR (Human Resources).
- Native Tongue: First, the managers spoke English, and then they switched to their native tongue when the person who grabbed me left to lunch.
- Hostile Environment: Asked me to go back to work when I already felt unsafe and now I look at the company as a place where I feel uncomfortable to be at now because of the situation. My department also has a lot of the same ethic group. Also, a co-worker disrespected my religion in the past because I’m Buddhist and the worker asked me, “What is that item on your chain?” I responded the person who asked me, “It is Buddha.” Then the person said, “You’re going to hell.” I also got a witness and the person who said I’m going to hell still repeatedly tells that to me and only me when I was working for Office Depot. Intimidated to be at work, very disruptive to our work environment
, embarrassing conflicts in front of different departments, conflicts not taken by my manager. Also I complaint about my senior manager, Jeff for coming up to me and saying” I got my eyes on you” with an angry face.
- Intimidation: I felt that my voice wasn’t strong enough and my soul cried with tears when I had to tell them I have to quit.
- Lying Manager: Kept flipping the story around and also the Co-worker who grabbed me did the same thing.
- Human Resources is investigating the act and told me I didn’t have to quit yet, but take a break from work until Monday (Sept 8 2008) with an answer if I wanted to stay or quit. The problem that I’m having with Human Resources is that the manager, the co-worker who gabbed me, and I were not suppose to work for a couple of days so they could investigate, but the other two were still working the whole time when this situation happened which I consider unfair treatment. Office Depot viewed me as a joke or a trouble making kid. HR and the Senior Manager do not know that I had recorded the situation with the manager and I believe I got to take action with the proof I have. Human Resources told me on the phone that my manager should have called the Senior Manager to walk into the office when we were up there for more than an hour.

Hi,
I stuffed my sisters laptop by mistake and she had to re-format the hard drive, now she has lost all of her digital photo’s and I mean all, sadly the photo’s of her daughter from birthdays and christmas and all the others are now gone.
Main problem is we haven’t got enough money to buy any software yet and I know the photo’s can be recovered as I have found 2 programs that have done just that.
Problem with them is that to save the photo’s we need to buy the programs.
So the long and the short of it is:
We need desperately to find a FREE FULL version of a digital photo recovery program to recover them back from her hard drive.
Please help.
Also know that as soon as we get the photo’s back they are being saved to CD and sent via email to family so we should never have this problem again, fingers crossed anyway.
