I’m a print journalism major. And I really like photography and graphic design. I want to invest in a decent digital photography camera and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Preferably with interchangeable lenses and a removable flash. Something that produces good results but isn’t overly complicated. I’m looking to spend $400 to $600.

My question is where do I put all of these wires into my new thermostat?
I have central air conditioning and it is connected to a Gas line.

When I re-size my digital photos only for the purposes of sharing them with friends on the web (i.e. Kodak Gallery, Flickr), do they lose any quality?
I assume that for printing purposes you would want to retain as much of the original photo size as possible, but if all I care about is saving time uploading them and reducing the amount of time it takes for the photos to load when friends are viewing the slideshow online, does it matter (from a quality perspective) if I reduce all of the image sizes to 640×480 or 1024×768?
My friends won’t be printing them, so basically I just want the highest quality but smallest file size just for slideshow viewing purposes.

I was just thinking about this as I heard the digital stations will be set up like 2.2 instead of 2,3,5 etc.My vcr is used daily to record and I hate the idea of buying a dvr. Please tell me if you know.Thankyou!!
Edit.. I am getting some good answers.Thankyou. I should have mentioned. I do have basic cable and a digital tv.I still get analog tv as I am not subscribing to digital.My tv is the type that switches back and forth between digital and analog.
As an award from my employer I have a choice between the two.The Fuji has a motion picture feature.Does the Olympus have that?

I used to have 35mm SLR's & used the manual settings a fair amount,but this will be my first digital.
I notice that most recent digital cameras use some type of compression which seems to introduce noise and fuzzy edges in the pictures. The only camera that I had exerienced that had good picture quality was the Nikon Coolpix 3200 but its old and really slow.
I have a benq w500 projector capable of 1080p and not used for sound. For sound I have a JVC Th-L1 capable of HDMI surround sound.
HDMI picture comes in fine with this set up. But no HDMI sound! I use it with my PS3. PS3 says that the source is not compatible for HDMI sound. ??? Oh, and I should mention that a digital optical cable works fine but not HDMI.
My only guess is the PS3 ignores my surround sound and just reads the projector as the video and audio source. There for making it not compatible for HDMI. Like HDMI will only work if its hooked up to a HDMI capable tv.
Anyone else have a Surround Sound and Projector setup like mine? Work? Not Work?
Now that anime central has been shut down, and is now showcase TV, will there be any other places to watch anime within the next few months on sky digital?
I know pop girl show mew mew power but im talking about animes such as bleach, gundam and such.
Will there be another anime channel broadcasting on sky digital?
