So my old digital cam is beginning to flake out on me and now I want to a get a new one. I have a general idea of what I want, the thing that confuses me is which type of battery is better: 1) standard double AAs or 2) rechargeable lithium-ion batery.
My old cam used double AAs which was fine because I always used the rechargeable kind of AAs so I didn’t spend a lot of money on batteries (I think I had like 6 rechargeable batteries and just rotating them for the past three years). However, one complain I had was the battery life wasn’t exactly great. I’ve never had a lithion-ion battery for a camera so that is the variable here. Is it generally considered "better" than using AAs or is it just a matter of preference since a lot of new cameras still use AAs while a lot have changed over to the lithion-ion kind? Thanks very much! : )

I hear people say it’s the only legal place, which is complete bull. Why do they stay in their little box?

I’ve been searching everywhere for one of those micro digital camera… I remember a couple years ago I knew someone that had a very cheap one where you put it around your neck and its like the shape of a gum stick and has a little square (like the ones in the keychain camera) where you can look thru and press the picture button… Then you can connect it to the computer and get the picture.. It has built in memory.. I can’t find it ANYWHERE just getting those spy cams that have video recording.. but I don’t need a recorder just pictures.. So if anyone know where I can find one or you can show me another one it would me REALLY helpful. Thank you!

It doesn’t necessarily have to be the BEST brand, but from your experience, generally, what is a good brand for digital cameras that shoots clean, crisp, and clear pictures? Of course I know it will depend on other factors too such as the quality, expense, number of mega pixels and such but generally, what is a good place to start? What brand has been the best at this from your experience?
I ask because I own a kodak and I have been having problems with unrealistic looking photos where the background looks fake and the front looks more realistic. There is also an unrealistic differentiation of light.
